After months of anticipation and plenty of “When will it open?” chatter online, Trader Joe’s has officially opened its doors at 12812 Shops Parkway, Suite 300, right in the heart of the Shops at the Galleria. This opening marks the chain’s fourth location in the Austin area. 

The beloved grocery chain, known for its famously friendly crew, celebrated its grand opening on October 29th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Hawaiian shirts, and a crowd of excited Bee Cave locals ready to shop. Walking through the aisles, it’s easy to see why locals are so thrilled especially since locals no longer have to make the trek into inner-Austin area to get their Trader Joe’s fix.

“We’ve been counting down the days until this opening!” said Alayna Christensen, one of the store’s enthusiastic crew members. “From day one, customers have come in with huge smiles and Trader Joe’s shopping lists ready to go!”

Step inside and you’ll find all Trader Joe’s favorites: frozen Mandarin Orange Chicken, Everything But the Bagel seasoning, and rows of colorful snacks you didn’t know you needed. The Bee Cave store also features the company’s Neighborhood Shares program, which donates unsold but perfectly good food to local nonprofits making this location not only full of tasty treats, but also community-focused.

As the first week of business wraps up, shoppers are already impressed by the signature Trader Joe’s atmosphere.

“Employees always great me with a smile,” said Josh Bryant, a local shopper. “The more Trader Joe’s comes to Central Texas, the better!”

Whether you’re grabbing dark chocolate peanut butter cups, stocking up on flowers for the kitchen table, or just curious what all the buzz is about – one thing is for sure: Bee Cave’s newest addition is here to stay bringing plenty of fun and flavor with it.
